People who want to lose weight and stay in shape will often try out a lot of different methods, including all natural diet pills and hoodia supplements. Many people try out the Master Cleanse. Plenty of you have probably heard of the Cleanse (also known as the Lemon Cleanse and Maple Syrup Diet). The Cleanse is made from grade B maple syrup, fresh lemons, senna tea, natural sea salt and cayenne pepper. Let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of the Master Cleanse.
The upside:
You’ll feel better when you stop consumption of alcohol, junk food, coffee and tobacco. There’s also no chance of introducing toxins into your body via meat, dairy and eggs from animals raised on artificial hormones and vegetables and fruits that have been sprayed with insecticides. This denouncement of toxins also puts many people into a better mindset. Another good thing about the Cleanse is that you determine how long you’ll keep up with it; there’s no set length of time it’s supposed to last.
The downside:
While you aren’t exposed to negative toxins and supplements, you’ll also be depriving your body of much-needed vitamins, like protein and iron. It’s not uncommon for someone on the Cleanse to pass out from fatigue. You also have to be careful about how you reintroduce regular foods into your diet; many don’t take this necessary step and just dive back in, resulting in severe stomach pain.
The verdict:
There’s no real harm in trying the Master Cleanse.
